The Helios™ family of DC power supplies features the most technologically advanced power and controls system available in VAR and Plasma power supply design. These DC power supplies can be furnished in any voltage or current range to satisfy our customer's unique processing requirements. These Helios™ DC power supplies are furnished in the 25KW to 2000KW range.

Power is controlled by modern IGBT (Integrated Gated Bipolar Transistor) switch / inverter technology. This replaces traditional SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) technology.
Operator can set the operating output current, power level or, if desired, the system can be operated in voltage control mode with a current limit.
Line Voltage is not chopped in any way and is isolated from the output with a high frequency transformer.
The result is negligible Line Harmonics - meets or exceeds IEEE 519 requirements.
High Power Factor:
- 0.92 - 0.93 in the 6 pulse bridge configuration with a 3 phase input.
- 0.95 - 0.97 in the 12 pulse bridge configuration with a 6 phase input.
Ability to run continuously at 100% continuous power output.
DC Power Supply systems can be paralleled to obtain higher power factors and currents.
